Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday is: Top Ten Books I Recommend the Most
1. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
I just read Cinder this year and I loved it! Cinder is the perfect book for anyone who loves fairy tale retellings, SciFi, or just someone looking for a captivating and fun read! You can see my review here.
2. The Beekeeper’s Apprentice by Laurie R. King
The first chapter of The Beekeeper’s Apprentice started off with this sentence: “I was fifteen when I first met Sherlock Holmes, fifteen years old with my nose in a book as I walked the Sussex Downs, and nearly stepped on him. In my defense I must say it was an engrossing book…” I adored this book right from the start!
3. 52 Reasons to Hate My Father by Jessica Brody
This book had so many hilarious and heartfelt lines. The lead is so sassy and I loved watching her character develop. A definite winner for me! (I’ll be reviewing Unremembered by Jessica Brody soon!)
4. Watership Down by Richard Adams
My Absolute Favorite Fiction Book of All Time is definitely Watership Down! I first read Watership Down when I was ten and have reread it only about, oh, a million times since then.
5. This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen
This Lullaby is my favorite Sarah Dessen book (along with The Truth About Forever and Along for the Ride). Speaking of Sarah Dessen, how excited is everyone for The Moon and More to come out?!
6. A Long, Long Sleep by Anna Sheehan
I absolutely adored the character development in A Long, Long Sleep, as well as the many beautiful and powerful scenes! You can see my rave about A Long, Long Sleep here.
7. Hoot by Carl Hiaasen
I love Carl Hiaasen’s books! I recommend Hoot, Flush, Scat, and Chomp (see my review of Chomp here) all the time. They are full of hilarity, cover environmental issues, and are an all over fun read!
8. Just One Wish by Janette Rallison
Family. Cancer. Teen Robin Hood. One little brother. One wish. One determined big sister with problems of her own. A highly enjoyable read.
9. The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith
I loved the wonderful writing style and sweet storyline in The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight (you can see my review here) and am so excited to read This is What Happy Looks Like!
10. Anything by Meg Cabot!
Because, in my mind, Meg Cabot will forever be the Queen of Fiction.
